えー、いきなり英語の文面が流れてきて当惑された方がいらっしゃいましたらご
めんなさい。

以前このメーリングリストでも話題になったデフォルトインプットメソッドを
SCIM から iBus に…という件ですが、以下のように -m17n メーリングリストで
話が始まっています。


このまま特に反対意見がなければおそらく 12.1 では iBus が既定になると思い
ますが、この機会に何か提案等がありましたら -m17n メーリングリストか
openFATE のフィーチャーかにコメントお願いします。

たとえばデフォルト変換エンジンを Mozc に変えようとか、このパッケージもデ
フォルトで入るようにしようとか思われるようでしたら、是非「メンテナンスす
るのでそうしましょう!」と名乗り出てください。ライセンス的な問題や他の
パッケージとの依存関係のコンフリクトさえクリアできていれば、「私がや
る!」と申し出てくださればほぼ間違いなく提案は通ると思います。
